She brought my heart so much relief, smiled and laughed with me and my daughter, and worked so patiently with him. I can't explain her sweet and compassionate nature.
My grandfather had to come to the hospital after a horrible fall which broke his hip. He also hit his head and hadn't been in his normal state of mind which was not easy thing to see or experience. He was supposed to have surgery and there had been miscommunication between doctors. Diana helped me right away. She started calling around to get things squared away. I couldn't believe how much she cared about my concerns. The surgery ended up being postponed, and my grandfather hadn't had any food or drink for hours. Since the surgery was not until the next day, I wanted him to eat. I went out to get Diana, and she had food sent up right away. I was in shock. I was nervous to feed him because he had been yelling, uncomfortable, and in pain. She heard my attempts from the hallway and came in smiling. She got right to work and assured me that she understood. She started communicating with him so well! He is deaf in one ear, so she moved to the other side of the bed and made sure to tell him what she was doing, even when he was shouting at her, "let me do it," wanting to do it himself. She brought my heart so much relief, smiled and laughed with me and my daughter, and worked so patiently with him. I can't explain her sweet and compassionate nature. I told my whole family what a blessing she was. I am someone who is not always fond of hospitals because of past experiences, but I will tell you that Diana left such an impact on me and gave me more hope moving forward. This is my first time at this hospital, and it was beautiful to see that there are truly people who care about their patients, and it came so naturally to her. What a gift she is to this hospital and a blessing to our family.
