Our post-operative nurse today was amazing. Her name is Devyn. My husband had an invasive surgery, and we were so lucky she was the RN assigned to him. She was so attentive to the big issues, the small issues, and even the very little issues. We felt in such good hands the entire time. She not only responded to any needs he had, but also was very proactive in his needs. The perfect balance of professionalism and personalism can be challenging, yet she managed both flawlessly and what appeared to be effortlessly. There were some minor complications during his surgery, and so instead of being discharged from the Recovery Room, he had to be admitted. There was a long wait to get him a room assigned, but truthfully, we think it ended up not being a bad thing because she remained very attentive to him and kept us up to date all along. She also let me stay with him, which was helpful for both of us.

I have been a Nurse Practitioner for 23 years and was a Registered Nurse for 13 years prior to that. I know an exceptional Nurse and person when I meet one, and we were blessed to be in Devyn's care today.
