I see Desi once a week to access my port. Not only does she ensure I get the best care possible, but she also always makes sure I feel safe and comfortable. Her charting skills are amazing.

Due to my chronic illness, I have so many problems, and she goes from head to toe asking me how I’m feeling. Desi is an amazing nurse, and she’s also an amazing person. She is always there to listen to me. When you see someone that often, it’s almost like having a friend come over. She makes port accesses comfortable and always makes sure she is gentle, and I get the best care possible.

She’s always on time, has great communication, and will always respond asap when I’m having an issue with my port. She goes above and beyond when it comes to her job. She truly does care about her patients. I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse, and I appreciate how much she has done and helped me through, even on my worst days.

She’s always a ray of sunshine when the day seems cloudy. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to come and poke me every week. She is the most amazing nurse and person I have ever met. She works so hard, and I hope this award makes her see what an awesome nurse she is.
