I can't put into words what Desirae did for my family. My son was in a tragic accident, and Desirae was there not only for me but for my whole family. As she cared for my son, she explained everything she was doing, answered the million questions my family had, and truly listened. I stayed at the hospital with my son until he died, and she not only cared for him but also for me. She made sure my mom and I had all we needed, including showers, comfortable bedding, and toothbrushes. I was in awe of her compassion. Desirae was born to be a nurse, and I only hope that if a tragedy happens in my family again, we cross paths. Desirae also came to my son's honor walk on a day she wasn't scheduled to work. That shows what kind of human she is--caring and compassionate. Hennepin Healthcare is so lucky to have Desirae as part of their team. Thank you for everything, Desirae.
