I am so grateful and thankful to have someone in the healthcare industry that cares about me!
I was very sick having been diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer. Because of my diagnosis I know I would need lots of medical care and wanted to move all my care from the community to the VA Hospital NLV. My thoughts were it would be easier to have all medical care under one roof instead of going all over the Vegas valley for specialty care.

Dr. Rowe immediately assessed my situation and started getting the necessary referrals in place to include Palliative Care and Dietician. But then COVID hit and so did all of my healthcare at the VA Hospital. I had to stay with treatment in the community and currently getting care at Comprehensive Cancer Center in Henderson. Dr. Rowe has remained my primary care provider as well as the Palliative Care Team at VA LV.

I am not sure how to share all the things I want to say about this amazing lady. In addition to being extremely well educated, she exhibits traits and skills not taught or learned at any educational institution. Empathy first comes to mind, as well as compassion. On day one of meeting her my husband and I were warmly greeted and immediately put at ease. She called us by name and didn’t bury her head behind the computer. She was genuine and wholesome-definitely not a phony which was a welcome relief to us.

I think my husband and I became engaged when she explained she knew what we were going through (really knew) as she was a caregiver to her mom who passed. Her words were so soft and warm and at that moment I so needed that feeling of respect and dignity from a healthcare provider. Even though Dr. Rowe only oversees my preventive care I am so grateful and thankful to have someone in the healthcare industry that cares about me! Personally, I would go to war with this wonderful person knowing she was my leader. I would feel safe knowing the decisions she makes are right for me! There is no doubt in my formerly military mind that Dr. Rowe is one tough lady who is totally dedicated to her job of providing excellent health care. The veterans that see her are so lucky to have her watchful eye upon them. I know seeing her every three months gives me purpose-something to live for!

Woo-hoo Dr. Rowe for a job well done—you don’t know this, but you listen to me and your words give me hope and encouragement so that I can continue my march to the end! God Bless you and weThank You for being my nurse practitioner.
