I am honored to nominate Dee Dodd for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her more than 45 years of exceptional commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, leadership, and mentorship.
Throughout my career, from bedside nurse to manager, Dee has profoundly shaped my professional growth. As my preceptor, she instilled patient safety, critical thinking, accountability, and excellence. She created a culture of learning and challenged me to continuously grow in both confidence and competence.
Dee is an outstanding mentor and role model who recognizes others' potential and invests in their success. Her guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support have been instrumental in shaping the nurse and leader I am today.
Her clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and sound judgment are unmatched. She consistently advocates for both patients and staff, addressing difficult situations with courage, integrity, and professionalism. Her ability to hold others accountable while fostering growth and respect has strengthened teams and improved patient outcomes throughout her career.
