Debra Dixon was a godsend on the day I came in with my 7-month-old. Not only was he having seizures, but his dad died on the way to the hospital. I didn't have any other family with me. I was completely broken. Debra sat in my room with me and was such a big support. She sat with me, prayed with me, and even held me. She was the most compassionate and accommodating nurse I've ever met.

As a breast-feeding mom in a high stress situation, I was having a hard time wanting to eat. She made sure I had food there at all times for whenever I was ready for it. She was the same with my family, very caring. She and everyone else at Children’s Mercy met our every need. We all said she was an angel sent to me that day and to my family the following day. We will never forget Miss Debra Dixon!
