She had a complex medical patient with a DVT in the arm where a PICC line was placed. Deb stayed two hours past her shift to remove the PICC line and place a new one in the patient's right arm. She did not have to do this; she could have let the patient either be admitted or try to get this as an outpatient.

She spent her time helping this patient, not only saving him time and money, but also making it possible for him to get his IV medications that night and not have a disruption in care. She goes above and beyond and takes on hard assignments
