Debbie noticed that there were three children on the OR schedule. She recognized that this is a stressful situation for both the child and the parent to be in the surgical area and going into an OR.

She took it upon herself, with her own money, to buy and make baskets for the children. The result was noticed immediately, as the children were calmer in a stressful moment.
