During my stay, my baby was first born via scheduled C-section and had to go to the NICU right after delivery. He made it out of NICU on day 2, luckily, but was used to being fed by bottle and was getting a larger amount of formula than I was producing. Due to this, I started feeling very upset and discouraged about breastfeeding and bonding with my baby. Asia took extra time to not only lift me up and encourage me not to give up, but also made sure that she had the lactation consultant come in and spend time with me to ensure I continued being positive about feeding and bonding. She really changed my outlook on everything, and I couldn't have done it without her words and care.
