Dayton Wright, Registered Nurse

I was admitted to the ICU at Montrose Regional Health. I had Influenza A with bacterial pneumonia and sepsis. I stayed in the ICU for eight days, and Dayton served as my night nurse for most nights. As our family reflects on that experience, a true highlight was the extraordinary care Dayton provided. During a most frightening time for our family, his skill, compassion, and kindness brought all of us comfort and hope.

Dayton is outstanding at his job. He has incredible talent in explaining how the body functions, the medical indicators, and the underlying reason for associated medical treatment. His knowledge, calm demeanor, and genuine concern made a real impression on members of our family. Dayton cared for me with professionalism and warmth. He treated me with dignity and tenderness. When my husband left the hospital each night, he took comfort knowing that Dayton was in charge of my care, and when my husband arrived at the hospital the next morning, he was relieved to hear Dayton explain how I fared the previous night.

We have such heartfelt thanks and appreciation for Dayton and the care he provided.
