Daymond Clark, BSN, RN
Daymond provided the most amazing care for my husband while he was a patient recovering from a cardiac procedure. Daymond's every move created a more comfortable environment for my husband and family. Daymond was selfless, going above and beyond at every turn.
Daymond attended to his every need with the utmost care, placing IV's, watching all the numbers, and making all the necessary calculations. He was flawless with the care that he gave, treated all of us with the utmost respect, and made us aware of the services in the hospital. Daymond's nursing skills, along with his ability to make my husband as comfortable as possible, were truly amazing.
Daymond definitely honored the VA mission by giving my husband 100 percent of his attention and anticipating every need in advance. I have worked in the health care industry for 30 years, and I am blown away by his dedication to the patients in his care. Daymond is the very definition of CARE, using his nursing skills in an expert manner along with care and kindness. Daymond exhibits the highest moral and ethical values, along with exceptionally valuable professional skills.
When my husband arrived in the Cardiac ICU unit, he was received with utmost care and gentle kindness along with confident, caring professional care. Every need of my husband's was met quickly and gently and with respect. While performing at his very best, Daymond took a moment to hand me an ink pen as I was on an important phone call; he saw to ALL of our needs quickly, kindly, and with respect. Daymond exhibits incredible qualities as an ICU nurse; I can't imagine a more perfect candidate for the DAISY Award!
On one of the most upsetting occasions, while my husband was going through delirium, Daymond's focus never wavered. His attitude towards my husband was the same: professional and extremely kind. Daymond explained what delirium was and helped all of us cope through that time. Daymond's demeanor never changed. Respect and care for the patient were his utmost desire. We were so very grateful that my husband was in Daymond's care.
Daymond continuously cared for my husband with excellent nursing skills, from the beginning of his shift to the end; his caregiving skills never wavered. Daymond gives 100 percent of his energy to his nursing skills. I never saw a dip in his energy level, his movements, his answering of questions, his respect for his co-workers or us. Everything Daymond did, was to ensure the very best level of care for his patient.
