Dawn wowed me upon meeting her! Dawn is a force. While in the ER, Daw provided extraordinary care when I was in enormous pain. Dawn’s knowledge and expertise, along with her huge heart, made an unpleasant visit to the ER palatable.

It is a privilege to work with a nurse who is kind, shows compassion, empathy, dedication, goes above and beyond for all patients, and that is just a few words to express Dawn. She has a great bedside manner, and any patient is lucky to have her as their nurse. Her dedication to her patients is admirable, and it shows in the excellent care that she provides. Dawn Exton joined White Oak Medical Center approximately one year ago, starting her journey in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). Since her arrival, she has brought a breath of fresh air to our hospital. As the ED Director, I consider myself fortunate to have Dawn on our team – a nurse who embodies compassion, empathy, and intelligence in her care for patients in both the CDU and Emergency Department. Dawn is dedicated to delivering world-class care to every patient she encounters, demonstrating flexibility and advocacy for both patients and their family members. Her impact extends beyond the clinical realm, as both patients and staff often turn to Dawn for support and guidance on various matters within the Emergency Department and CDU. Beyond her exceptional nursing skills, Dawn possesses a unique talent that adds a delightful touch to our work environment. She is an outstanding chocolatier, always experimenting with new recipes that she generously shares with her team members, brightening their spirits. Dawn's ability to infuse positivity into our workplace is truly commendable. What sets Dawn apart is her "YES WE CAN" attitude, which has become contagious throughout the entire department. White Oak Medical Center is truly blessed to have Dawn as part of our team, and we eagerly anticipate her continued contributions to the hospital.
