I would like to nominate David because of the care and the support he gave to a neonate and her mother in the Emergency Department. A mother had come into the emergency room in premature labor. David came into the emergency department for another task, but quickly knew he was needed. I was the nurse taking care of the patient and was happy to know David was there due to his experience with neonates. It took the mother 4 hours to give birth, and David was there with me, helping the mother the whole time. When the baby was born, it had some complications, but David treated the baby and was able to give great quality care. He stayed way into the evening with the baby, until it was transferred. I was very thankful to have David there to help with these complicated patients. He truly helped save a life. Thank you!
