She advocates not only for her team but also for patients.
Being able to improve the environment of care and the lives and experience of others is one of the best things about leadership. The growth of Dar in the field of nursing and as a leader was observed by the nominator. She saw her from the time she was an intern, to the time that she was a nurse and finally became a nurse leader. She has great decision-making skills, which she utilizes to ensure that patients and staff are heard and taken into consideration, which is one of her qualities that  make her stand out. This fosters a setting that is conducive to both the physical and mental well-being of staff, and patients and their families benefit as a result. Dar was also involved in process improvement projects especially related to the prevention of falls, patient misidentification, and reduction of the incidence of needle prick injury. For her, quality and safety are a priority. She was engaged in the unit, departmental, and even organizational activities, which is also a way of motivating her staff. She advocates not only for her team but also for patients. When it comes to problem-solving, she reports issues and concerns already with an action plan and even with ways to resolve them. She is very responsive to the needs of her staff and unit.
