She is truly an angel in scrubs and overall the best nurse anyone could ever ask for.
When I first met Darlene at the infusion center, I knew she was going to be the best nurse I’ve ever had. She is kind and compassionate, and she works hard at her job to make patients like me comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. She took amazing care of me when I needed emotional support, as well as my iron infusion treatment. She checked up on me when I had to go to labor and delivery cause I thought I was having my baby a lot sooner than expected. She is truly an angel in scrubs and overall the best nurse anyone could ever ask for.

Darlene is an incredible nurse and person. I always look forward to my treatment because she helps make it easier as well as painless. She is very kind!

I had to transfer to St. Joe’s from Crouse. St. Joe’s, especially Darlene, did not have an issue with my transfer, nor any other comments. I’ve been coming twice per week for nearly a year. I am greeted like an old friend. The unit is warm, comfortable, and has the best nurses I have ever seen, especially Darlene, who is very caring and understanding. I had to leave Crouse because of an opioid OD. She talked with me but didn’t make me feel bad about that incident or myself. We need more staff who actually care as Darlene does. Thank you for employing her.

In November, I went for my infusion, not feeling well. Darlene had me sit in a chair with oxygen. I don’t remember if a doctor stopped in or if nurse Darlene called them, but they said I had a lot of fluid around my heart and that I needed surgery. If it wasn’t for the sharp eye of nurse Darlene, I wouldn’t be here.

Darlene has gone out of her way since 2024 to make sure my husband gets quality care. He has transfusions twice weekly for blood and platelets. She has a way about her in making sure it’s a comfortable experience each time he is here. She has seen him in good and bad situations but is always able to cheer him up. Her expertise in nursing care and ability are amazing. I do so appreciate the care she gives him. She is exceptional.
