I was admitted to labor and delivery for having extremely high blood pressure and back pain at 33 weeks pregnant. Danielle became my nurse during the day shift. She was always so nice and made me feel very comfortable. She provided lots of reassurance that everything would be okay.

She always made sure I had water and everything I needed. By 3 pm, I was rushed into emergency c-section due to my baby’s heart decelerating. My husband was not by my side at the time due to his being at school picking up our other son. Danielle helped me get into a gown and hair net, walked me to the operating room, and even held me as they placed the epidural.

She was also kind enough to call my husband, per my request, to check his ETA. She stayed by my side until my husband made it to the OR, always giving me reassurance and making sure I stayed calm. My husband made it as soon as he could, and we were able to have a healthy baby. However, he did require NICU time.

 After all the chaos of the emergency c-section, they moved me to the postpartum side, and I was not able to thank Danielle for everything she did for me, but she deserves this recognition.
