I am honored to nominate Danielle O'Brien for the DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care and compassion she provided during a very challenging time for me.

Following my endoscopy, I experienced ongoing issues and uncertainty that could have easily felt overwhelming. She stepped in and truly went above and beyond in every sense of the word. She took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, never rushing me, and always making me feel heard and supported.

What stood out most was her unwavering advocacy. She reached out to the physician multiple times on my behalf to ensure my symptoms were addressed and that I received the guidance I needed. She did this with such grace, kindness, and professionalism, never once making me feel like I was asking too much—even though I reached out frequently.

She checked in with me every single day until my symptoms improved, providing reassurance, updates, and genuine care. Because of her, I never felt alone in navigating my post-procedure challenges. She was with me every step of the way, turning what could have been a stressful experience into one where I felt supported and cared for.

Danielle exemplifies what it means to be a nurse. Her compassion, dedication, and commitment to her patients are extraordinary. I truly believe that the level of care she provided me with is the same standard she brings to every patient she encounters.

She is more than deserving of this recognition.
