She made sure to get the IV out of my child’s arm before she woke up so that she would not see it. She made a goodie bag for my child and even had some snacks ready for her as soon as she became more alert.
My daughter was coming in today for an MRI. Because of her autism, it has become tough, and she was going to be sedated. Danielle was our nurse, and she was also training someone at the same time, yet she was able to multi-task very effectively.

She was kind and caring toward my daughter the whole time. She sat with my child and played with her, treating her as if she were her daughter.

When my child came out of the procedure, Danielle was the first one to get her, bring her back to the room, care for her the whole time with compassion, explain things to her mother and me, hold my child, and take extra special care of her while she was trying to make my child more alert.

My child woke up in a frenzy due to her ASD. Her brain was not prepared for the sensations that she felt, and she got very loud and violent. Danielle was right there to keep her calm. She made sure to get the IV out of my child’s arm before she woke up so that she would not see it. She made a goodie bag for my child and even had some snacks ready for her as soon as she became more alert.

Unfortunately, my child continued to spiral and got very violent. Danielle was right there to step in to try to keep my child from hurting herself or anybody else up until we finally had to take her out of the building and be discharged. Danielle even took us out a different exit so that we wouldn’t upset other hospital guests, and she also checked on her mother and me because my child had struck both of us in our heads, knocking off our glasses. She wanted to make sure we were okay as well.

This level of professionalism, compassion, and care is what brings me to this page today to commend this fantastic nurse on something that should be so common for everybody but is often lacking in many people.

Not only did she excel at her job, but she also went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable the whole time and that my child was taken care of as if she were her own.
