Danielle cried with me, brought me water and tissues, and talked through my father’s condition with me like no one else had. When she heard my family talk about how his hair was looking messy, we came in the next day to find she had washed and combed it. When she learned he liked music, we came into his room where his favorite music was playing. She showed a level of empathy that goes above and beyond what it takes to be a nurse. I don’t have to worry about his care for a second, knowing that she is watching over my father.
