It is an honor and a pleasure to nominate this exceptional nurse for the DAISY Award. Danielle is the epitome of resilience, compassion, and hard work. She continues to provide extraordinary patient care despite any obstacles she may be facing, whether they are personal or professional. Her unwavering dedication and commitment to her role cannot go unnoticed. Patients and staff, including physicians, constantly praise her kindness and hard work.

Additionally, she brings a bright light to the office environment with her energetic personality. It is hard to pick one instance or story to highlight this nurse’s excellence, however she recently demonstrated a commendable act worth mentioning. As Danielle was about to go on her lunch break, she was asked to greet a patient who walked in without an appointment and had some concerns. Danielle took her time speaking to the patient and trying to answer her questions, despite missing her lunch break. In the middle of their conversation, the patient began to feel ill and had an episode, which prompted immediate medical response, which Danielle attended to swiftly and appropriately. Despite other members of the team, including ACPs, arriving to assist with the patient’s episode, Danielle did not leave her side and continued to assist while holding the patient’s hand and reassuring her until EMS arrived. I believe this story encapsulates the core value of the DAISY Award. Her actions inspire others to be more caring and dedicated.
