I would like to nominate Daniel Rodriguez, as I have watched them for the past six months dedicate his time to the veterans. One veteran in particular, I remembered, came in completely soiled. Daniel took it upon himself to find the veteran new clothes and got him changed. This veteran, in particular, would usually come in alone. This particular time, he came in with the social worker, and this person just observed the veteran without doing anything about his situation. Daniel would look for a change of clothes and would provide dry clothes. This is just one of the many examples that show how he cared for the patients for their health and well-being. This particular veteran was alone and would often spend many days with dirty and soiled clothes, but Danny always treated him with dignity and respect, and most importantly, went out of his way to clean up the man and change his clothing without giving a second thought. He always mentioned that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I always remember thinking if this were my grandpa, that is the kind of Nurse that I would want on his team.
