Daniel exudes care and compassion for his patients, team members, surgeons, and anesthesia providers daily! He is counted on as a resource for all who work in the OR, as he has expertise in all service lines. He exhibits empathy among all team members. When in charge, he strategically makes assignments to optimize the strengths of all to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

He arrives with a positive, can–do attitude. Whether in staff, RHC, or service lead roles, he works tirelessly to make sure the OR runs smoothly. David led the team in the new Robotic program- instrumental in working with surgeons to ensure the correct supplies, instruments, and preference cards were in place. In addition to being a champion for the staff to learn and be a resource, he collaborated with SPD to ensure adequate par levels for instruments and trays.

Daniel has been a dedicated member of San Rafael for over a decade. He receives many accolades from surgeons, colleagues, and members! I believe Daniel deserves this DAISY award based on the qualities and behaviors he “lives” in the OR and San Rafael Hospital.
