Damon was my first nurse the afternoon I arrived at the hospital. I didn’t come thinking I was going to need surgery and the nurse helped me feel more comfortable with my IV. The nurse took time to explain how the nurse was going to do the IV change. He shared some personal things about his life, like where he was from, and his personal openness and friendliness were greatly appreciated. Damon was attentive and kind and made sure I was always comfortable. He had a good and upbeat attitude. He was able to put a smile on my face. This nurse also shared Christmas stories and sang carols. He dives right into whatever the situation may be…. Thank you! Never makes you feel your care is not important. Like you are too much care or taking too much of his time. Always there when the call button showed I needed help. If he had a spare minute he would peek in the door and say hi.

Damon is a great team player, jumping in to help without hesitation. I had a patient that was being discharged home and had to be transported into a truck that was very difficult to climb. Even though we don’t work in the same department they came to help just in time. Damon was very calm and encouraging, giving the patient advice and ultimately having to lift the patient into the truck. The nurse is a great asset to this organization as well as the rest of the team in the department. Thank you again for the “hand up.”
