نعم أود أن أشكر ممرضة ابنتي. بعد قدر الله علينا بسقوطها في المسبح لمدة خمس دقائق احتاجت إلى العناية بعد وضع جهاز التنفس الصناعي لها. تعبت ابنتي لأن حالتها كانت غير مستقرة وانتكست حالتها أكثر من مرة. كانت الممرضة دائمًا تقول: بإذن الله ستصبح بخير، إنها مسألة وقت. وكانت صادقة معي عندما أسألها عن أي شيء. كانت حنونة على ابنتي، مهتمة بها كثيرًا وبكل مرضاها، وليست ابنتي فقط. يدها خفيفة جدًا على مريضها، لا تتعبه، بل على العكس يتلقى كل الأدوية اللازمة وتعتني بنظافته من غير أن ترهقه أو تتعبه.

غير ذلك، طلبتُ منها أن أغسلها بماء زمزم وماء مقري عليه، وقد استجابت بلطفها وحنانها ورحمتها لي ولوالدها، وكانت تراعي ما نحن فيه من كرب وغم.

كانت أيامًا صعبة، لكن لن أنسى ممرضات قسم العناية، جميعهن لم يقصرن معنا، لا رئيسة التمريض ولا مساعدتها ولا أخوات كثيرات في قسم التمريض بقسم العناية، كنَّ رائعات. لكن تميزت داليه. أسأل الله أن يجزيها عنا خير الجزاء، وأن يحرِّم عليها النار، وأن يجعلها من أهل الفردوس الأعلى. داليه — أحسبها والله حسيبها — تخدم مريضها بحب وحنان، وقبل ذلك تراقب الله في مريضها. يا رب اجعلها في أعلى الدرجات في الدنيا والآخرة.

English Translation:

 I would like to thank my daughter’s nurse, Dalia. My daughter was admitted to the ICU after she fell into the swimming pool for five minutes and needed care after being placed on a ventilator. My daughter struggled because her condition was unstable, and she relapsed more than once.

Dalia always told me, “God willing, your daughter will get better; it’s just a matter of time.” She was honest with me whenever I asked her about anything. She was compassionate toward her and cared for her greatly, not only for my daughter but for all of her patients. Her hand was so gentle with them; she never caused them discomfort. On the contrary, she made sure they received all their necessary medications and cared for their cleanliness without tiring or burdening them.

In addition to her kindness and tenderness, she respected my request to wash my daughter with Zamzam water and water that had been recited over. She showed mercy to me and her father, recognizing the hardship and grief we were in.

Those were very difficult days, but I will never forget the nurses in the ICU. None of them fell short with us. Not the head nurse, not her assistant, nor the many sisters in the nursing staff of the ICU. They were all wonderful, but Dalia stood out among them.

I ask God to reward her greatly on our behalf, to protect her from the fire (Hellfire), and to make her among the people of the highest Paradise. I consider Dalia — and God is the best judge — to serve her patients with love and compassion, while above all being mindful of God in how she treats them. O Lord, raise her to the highest ranks in this world and the Hereafter.
