1st Nomination
DaLena has been doing amazing things for the Dialysis program. She never hesitates to accept new patients even on weekends! On a Saturday, a patient came through the ED with shortness of breath. It had been a couple of days since he had dialysis, so the providers worked together to get the patient admitted. Without DaLena being willing to come in at the last minute on her Saturday off, this patient would have been transferred to another facility farther away from his home and wife. His wife was so thankful they could stay at NMC Health due to the animals she had at home and the ability to come back and forth easily. DaLena, you are incredible, your work ethic is incredible, and the care you give always comes with a smile on your face!

2nd Nomination
DaLena is our Dialysis Coordinator and played a major part in getting our dialysis program off the ground. She has spent numerous hours researching and learning about dialysis. Since we have gone live with the program, she has successfully dialyzed multiple patients and kept patients from having to be transferred to Wichita hospitals. She has even come in on her weekends off to care for dialysis patients. I have personally visited with several of these patients who were so thankful for the care that DaLena provided to them. DaLena has gone above and beyond to ensure that the dialysis program at NMC Health is a success.
