She was so patient explaining everything while constantly reassuring me that I was in good hands.
I came into the ER with shortness of breath. I was diagnosed with 2 pulmonary embolisms and admitted to the ICU after having an EKOS in the cath lab. It was terrifying; a lot happened so quickly, and I was truly afraid for myself and my family. After the procedure was
finished, I was brought to the ICU, where I met the kindest nurse in the world.
Cynthia was my nurse - she made me comfortable, chatting with me, reassuring me, and just a kind, friendly face. She was so patient explaining everything while constantly reassuring me that I was in good hands. Things were going as planned, and she kept
such a close eye on me medically and also made me feel like I had a
friend taking care of me. She had such a special way about her. The next day, while she had stepped off the floor, I was moved up to A5- a regular floor.
Later that day, Cynthia came to visit me! Much to my surprise, she wanted to say goodbye and wish me luck, and tell me what a pleasure it was to meet me, and that she heard all was going well
and wished me luck. She was a true gem, not just for her nursing expertise, but also for her genuine care and kind nature. I have come across many healthcare professionals, and she will always hold a special place in my heart because her kindness was truly extraordinary.
Ellis is so lucky to have Cynthia, and I was so lucky to have her by my side on one of the scariest days of my life. Thank you to Cynthia from the bottom of my heart.
