Today, my dad underwent heart catheterization, and we spent about 12 hours at the hospital. What could have been a long and stressful day turned into an incredibly positive experience because of Cory on the 2nd Floor Surgery unit.

We have been incredibly lucky to have Cory as my dad’s nurse for all three procedures he has had. Even though it had been a year since our last visit, Cory immediately remembered us. That personal connection made my dad feel at ease right away.

My dad is 86 years old and was understandably nervous, but Cory took the time to explain everything, reassure him, and treat him with such patience and compassion. Cory never made us feel rushed and truly went above and beyond to make sure my dad was comfortable and cared for throughout the entire day.

While the whole Community team was wonderful, Cory truly stood out. We feel so lucky to have had him each time, and we trust him completely with my dad’s care. Cory represents everything a nurse should be: kind, attentive, skilled, and genuinely caring. We are incredibly grateful to Cory and the entire team for making such a difficult day feel as easy and comforting as possible.
