I want to acknowledge Corey for handling a patient who was writing on the wall today. While everyone else got loud and talked down to the client, Corey respectfully, calmly, and patiently approached the client and was very soft-spoken, which led to the client giving him the marker and sitting on the floor while they had a discussion. This is how all situations need to be handled. I have encountered many situations where the problem is more chaotic due to a lack of compassion, patience, and kindness. Corey has also calmly approached me. I haven’t encountered too many instances where the situation was de-escalated with kindness, compassion, humility, respect, love, and tolerance; Corey exemplified all of these and more. He has always been an excellent example through his actions. I have always been told that you get more with honey than vinegar, and this nurse was and always is the honey. Thank you! God bless you!
