Con upholds and steers this massive and complicated ship every single weekend, and all on his own.
Con holds up the entire hospital every single weekend. He is often faced with extreme staffing shortages, very little administrative support, and confronted with some of the strangest situations. He looks at each issue through the eyes of an incredible leader and never makes any decision without doing his research. He’s incredible support for the nursing staff and remains positive. He has been an incredible role model for me!

Con not only exemplifies an outstanding role model, but he exceeds it with leaps and bounds. He, on numerous occasions, will take time out of his very busy shifts to take new grads to codes to get them more comfortable with critical scenarios. Also, he teaches them IV skills and other nursing skills that they may not often get otherwise. He is a mentor, a teacher, a coach, and a role model that everyone aspires to.

He truly cares about nurses and growing new nurses in the profession by his demonstration of these traits. You could ask anyone who works weekends with him, he takes on things outside of his role daily to help nurses get through their shift. He genuinely wants to improve patient care and outcomes for our patients. I cannot say enough about him and what an asset he is to this facility. We would not be the same without him.

Con upholds and steers this massive and complicated ship every single weekend, and all on his own. Con is often faced with many difficult and unique challenges, including staffing issues, and always rises to the occasion. Con often wears the hat of PICC team and chaplain services in their absence, in addition to everything else entrusted to him. Con is a role model. Not only are his role model behaviors perceived as extraordinary; they are actually extraordinary! Con creates an environment of trust, mutual respect, and models ethical behaviors by always doing the right things on behalf of the patients and organization.

Con is accessible, available, and very responsive to the needs of others; and always before self. He encourages critical thinking and problem solving for individuals and also teams. Con promotes and enhances the profession of nursing image. He motivates staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves and for the patients. As a nursing leader, Con holds himself to very high standards and expectations and works to the full scope of practice; making him the consummate professional he truly is.
