Cliff has such an uplifting presence on the Burn Unit. He shows up to work every day with a smile on his face and a positive, respectful, and spirited attitude that boosts team morale. Finding humor in difficult, traumatic situations isn't easy, but Cliff is able to use humor with his peers and patients/families in a way that alleviates the stress and suffering we experience all too often on the Burn Unit. Over the last year that I have worked with Cliff, he has gone above and beyond time after time to provide exceptional person-centered care to our the unique and complex group of Burn patients. He adapts his plan of care to include and meet the age-specific and cultural needs of his patients. In addition, Cliff advocates boundlessly for his patients, giving them the best chance at recovery. There is nothing that he will not do to benefit his patients or the unit. As a member our Excellence Council and a selfless leader on the unit, Cliff is always eager to jump in and help in any capacity needed, no questions asked. Cliff is an outstanding nurse. We are so fortunate to have him as part of our Burn Team.
