Llega pacientita de 16 años con falla hepática para biopsia de hígado, la enfermera Claudia prepara todo el material, se presenta con la paciente y antes de iniciar con procedimiento explica a la paciente lo que se le va a realizar.
la paciente comienza a llorar y es cuando Claudia toma una pausa antes de iniciar para poder hablar con ella y contenerla, ella le explica que tiene miedo, Claudia le pregunta si necesita un abrazo a lo que la paciente asiente con la cabeza y mientras estaban unidas por un abrazo tratando de tranquilizarla le explica nuevamente el procedimiento que se le va a realizar, ella logra calmarse y proceden con la biopsia, al finalizar intercambian teléfonos para poder seguir en contacto.
Al pasar de los meses la paciente recibe un trasplante de Hígado y trata de contactar a Claudia para contarle llena de felicidad que su vida había cambiado y ahora todo iría mejor, desde entonces siguen en contacto, Claudia sigue pendiente de su paciente que se volvió una gran amiga.
Es aquí donde nos damos cuenta de que se compromete a que sus pacientes tengan una linda experiencia llena de empatía donde no solo reciba un trato digno si no lleno de amor y compañía y así como esta hay muchas historias más donde ella ha demostrado ser capaz de entregarse con el corazón a sus px brindando una gran experiencia de vida.
English Translation:
A 16-year-old patient with liver failure arrived for a liver biopsy; the nurse, Claudia, prepared the necessary supplies, introduced herself, and explained the upcoming procedure to the patient before starting.
The patient began to cry, prompting Claudia to pause and take a moment to speak with and comfort her. The patient expressed her fear, and when Claudia asked if she needed a hug, she nodded in agreement. While embracing and soothing her, Claudia explained the procedure once more; the patient calmed down, and the biopsy was performed. Afterward, they exchanged phone numbers to stay in touch.
Months later, the patient received a liver transplant and reached out to Claudia—overjoyed—to share that her life had changed and things were looking up. They have remained in contact ever since, with Claudia continuing to look after the patient, who has become a close friend.
