Clarize went above and beyond expectations to support the safety of and lessen the anxiety experienced by my daughter and her relationship companion friend. Clarize encouraged my daughter to stand up for herself and reassured her that she would intervene if necessary. Having a terminal illness can make one accept the behaviors of others for fear of losing all sources of support. Facing these "taboo" subjects is difficult, not only for the patient, but for those who are serving as supportive resources. I was very impressed by Clarize's professionalism and calm but firm demeanor, setting reasonable boundaries and knowing her resources if the situation escalated. Clarize helped my daughter set up a safety password as well. Clarize has the potential to be a leader RN.
