We recently had twin girls at Issaquah Swedish via C-section and felt immediately overwhelmed - between trying to learn cues from the two girls while taking care of my recovering wife, I honestly didn't know how we were going to manage. On top of all this, one of the twins needed more intensive care in the NICU, requiring the girls to be separated on the second day. Throughout this emotional rollercoaster, we felt incredibly thankful to have Clare as our day shift nurse for three days. She has an incredible bedside manner, kindly explaining medical realities in a way that's easy to understand. She brings a positive energy to every single interaction and always enters the room with a smile. Clare went out of her way to help and support us in any way she could during our time here, including facilitating us bringing our other girl to visit her twin sister in the NICU and feed together, creating memories for our family that will always, always, always be treasured. We're being discharged soon, and I can honestly say that I now feel prepared to care for these two girls, and that's largely due to Clare.

We cannot thank her enough, and she truly epitomizes the high level of excellence and compassion that Swedish Issaquah represents. We simply cannot imagine what our experience would have been like if we had gone anywhere else. We hope in some way our girls picked up on Clare's compassion and kindness and will grow up to share such love and care with others, the way Clare did for us.
