Recently, we had a fetal demise on our unit, and the family requested to baptize their baby after delivery. Since baptism of a non-living infant is not part of the Catholic faith, Claire was available to provide prayer and blessing for this family.

Claire met with this family, prayed with them, and blessed the sweet infant with her holy water. Claire's actions were truly a testament to the depth of compassion and humanity she carries in her heart. In such an incredibly difficult moment for the family, her ability to provide comfort, peace, and spiritual support must have meant the world to them.

Sometimes, words can’t fully capture the beauty of that kind of love and care, but the way she honored their faith. It’s clear that she left an incredible mark on this family, one that will stay with them forever.
