Cindy and her orientee were my nurses for the night shift during my postpartum recovery. They were absolutely amazing. I had trouble with breastfeeding, and they assured me that I was doing the best I could do and to give myself some grace. One night, my baby sounded like he was choking. As a first-time mom, I was absolutely terrified. I called for help, and they were immediately at my bedside. Turns out it was just hiccups, but they were so kind and made sure he was okay because he was so frazzled. They made my postpartum experience, and I’m so grateful for the love and grace they showed me! Cindy took the time to help when we needed it. As first-time parents, we felt like we had no idea what we were doing. Cindy took the time to explain everything from little things like swaddling to bigger things like feeding schedules, how to breastfeed, and choking. She never made us feel incompetent about anything. We hope that every new parent has a postpartum experience like ours, with a nurse like Cindy.
