Chris and the doctor consulted with him again and gave clear instructions for follow-through prior to discharge.
Chris was extraordinary in just every respect. My husband presented at SFMC after having spent two hours at an urgent care facility, which sent him to another hospital for stat scans of the head and neck with dizziness, imbalance issues, and shortness of breath. My husband is healthy with no medical issues other than his recovery in process from a knee replacement.

These symptoms were highly unusual. We were immediately seen and checked in at SFMC, and Chris seemingly appeared from nowhere, escorting us to the back quickly with great concern for my husband’s symptoms as he apologized for the tight conditions due to the current renovations. He quickly explained the rationale to repeat the tests from the urgent care facility, and they were done as he spoke.

A doctor appeared very quickly, assessed the situation, and consulted with us, and he was whisked away for scans. Meanwhile, various nurses and techs had the courtesy to ask about my comfort and needs as they passed me, tending to other patients. We were fortunate in that his test results revealed no serious issues, although no absolute cause for his symptoms. Chris and the doctor consulted with him again and gave clear instructions for follow-through prior to discharge.

Throughout his absolutely stellar, exceptional medical care of my husband on a busy Friday night, Chris kept that ER running meticulously, not missing a beat. He was everywhere, on top of everything, answering every question, assisting with every procedure – teaching, guiding, aiding, consulting with the doctors – he was an absolute professional in every way, and his kind, warm, gentle, friendly, compassionate nature is all one could hope for in a medical professional. As a retired VCU Professor of Dentistry, I recognize how important someone like Chris is to a team and the patient. We are so grateful to have had him on our team.
