I would like to nominate my granny’s nurse for the DAISY Award because of the exceptional compassion, patience, and dedication he showed during one of the most stressful moments our family has faced. When my granny was brought into the ER, we were overwhelmed with fear, but this nurse stepped in with a calm, steady presence that immediately eased the room. He treated my granny with dignity, spoke to her gently, explained every step of her care, and made sure she never felt alone or scared. What stood out the most was how he went above and beyond, not just providing medical care but comforting my mother, keeping us informed, and advocating for my granny when she couldn’t speak for herself. His kindness wasn’t something he had to do; it was something that came naturally to him. His compassion turned a frightening situation into one where we felt supported, heard, and cared for. He truly embodies every part of the DAISY Award criteria, and we are deeply grateful for him.
