I may not be a patient, but Christina truly made a huge impact on my life. I am a nursing student who has struggled with death after losing my brother last year. I have been terrified to do post-mortem care ever since. After we had a patient pass on our floor, Christina brought me into the room and helped make the experience much better for me. She had an amazing attitude and told me amazing stories about the patient as we cleaned her up. Through the whole process, she continued to tell me how good I was doing. After we were done, Christina told me she was proud of me. Though she didn’t know my story about losing my brother, having her say she was proud made me feel so much better. Later in the shift, she talked to me about all things nursing and made me feel so much better prepared for my career to begin. She even gave me a hug goodbye and wished me luck in my career. Again, I may not be a patient, but Christina is an outstanding nurse who has true compassion for what she does. Christina, thank you for being the nurse that you are. I am truly inspired and hope to be the nurse you are someday. Thank you.
