I had Christian for two-night shifts in a row, and he was so kind, comforting, and genuinely caring. What really stood out to me was how he made sure I got my pain medication exactly on time—practically to the minute!
His communication was also amazing, which I truly appreciated. On one shift, I wanted help getting cleaned up, and while we had discussed a time, no PCT was available. Christian still came at the exact time we talked about just to let me know he was busy with meds and, if the PCT couldn’t come within the hour, he’d take care of it himself. I completely understand how busy things get in a hospital, and what I needed wasn’t urgent—but the fact that he still made the effort to tell me, instead of leaving me wondering, meant so much.
He also took the time to explain the importance of a medication I didn’t want to take (and I ended up taking it because of what he said), and he was so gentle and reassuring when drawing my blood. And last but definitely not least—when he put on my compression leg devices and boots, he asked if I wanted to be tucked in. I loved that he asked. When I excitedly said yes, he tucked me in so gently and made me feel truly cared for. He told me it’s his “thing” to tuck patients in because he knows how much it means to them—and I thought that was the sweetest thing. It just shows how deeply he cares about all his patients.
Christian brings so much compassion and dedication to his work as an amazing RN!
