I would like to recognize Chris for his outstanding compassion and leadership during a very difficult situation overnight in the IMCU. We experienced a Code Blue, and unfortunately, a social worker was not available. The family was understandably distraught, and Chris went above and beyond to support them.

Chris worked tirelessly to ensure the family could get to the bedside, even coordinating with security to go to their home to make contact. He remained present with the family throughout the Code Blue, offering calm guidance and emotional support during an incredibly stressful time.

When a family member became so upset that she had an accident, Chris immediately and discreetly obtained soap, washcloths, and a change of underwear and pants to preserve her dignity and comfort. His actions exemplified true compassion, respect, and patient- and family-centered care. I am truly thankful he was present.
