She took the time to make those thoughtful gestures, which touched my heart as a mom and made me feel she truly cared about our baby boy.
We were incredibly fortunate to have Cheyenne as our nurse for 2 days. During our time with Cheyenne, she not only cared for our son, but also took the time to do extra to make us feel cared for and loved. For example, I had mentioned that I did not have any preemie clothes as I was not anticipating his early arrival. Cheyenne was kind enough to give me two little onesies from the NICU for him. Cheyenne also picked out a beautiful, knitted quilt for him. She took the time to make those thoughtful gestures, which touched my heart as a mom and made me feel she truly cared about our baby boy. She also made a little sign to decorate his door that I am planning to put in his baby book.

Cheyenne also made a conscious effort to provide our little boy with the best possible care. She started using heel warmers with his blood draws to help reduce his discomfort and passed this along in report to the nurses. She also changed out the tape they were using to reduce his irritation and discomfort with its removal. He also had some irritation on his skin, and she was the first nurse to suggest changing out the wipes we were using to see if that helped.

Cheyenne was always looking for opportunities to provide the best care and make adjustments to help him be more comfortable. She shared her experience as a parent in the NICU and helped us to feel cared for and supported. Cheyenne goes above and beyond the duty of caring for her patients with kind gestures and loving care. You can tell she genuinely cared for her NICU babies and families. She has made a lasting impact on both me and my little boy. To which I am forever grateful. Thank you so much, Cheyenne!
