Cheryl is the kindest psych nurse I have ever had. She goes above and beyond for her patients. When she had me on a one to one, I felt like there was no hope in the world. I didn’t want to continue to live. When she came into the room, she didn’t treat me like I was broken. She came in with her loving spirit and warm demeanor. She had a smile on her face and talked to me like a friend. It was the first time in months that I felt normal. She listened, we joked, cried, and talked for hours. After, I had hope again. I was able to believe that I could be happy and have a normal life. Cheryl was an amazing advocate for me throughout my stay. I always felt like I had someone who cared about me. She didn’t give empty platitudes. She was honest with me, even if it’s not necessarily what I wanted to hear, she told me what I needed to hear. Cheryl also did an amazing job explaining the doctor’s reasoning and the importance of various treatments. Having her as a nurse gave me deeper trust in my doctors and the rest of my care team. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for her.

Thank you, Cheryl D., for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
