Cherie is a very professional, dedicated, and loyal nurse. She was always attentive to my concerns or needs. I appreciate the time she took to explain things, which made me feel comfortable in the situation. She made me feel better, not just physically but emotionally, too. Thank you for being you! I was scheduled for surgery. I arrived at 9:00 am. I was called into the surgery door and was prepped and put in a room. My surgeon greeted me and an anesthesiologist. He told me he was going to inject my shoulder with a nerve block, and I would be very uncomfortable. It would be hard to breathe, and I would feel heavy pressure on my chest. Within minutes, I went into AFib. Both doctors advised canceling the surgery. The doctor told me he was sending me to the ER for admission and observation. I was admitted and spent the night in the hospital. I had a miserable night on Wednesday. I was in constant pain all night. The pain was in the back of my neck and both shoulders! Nurse Hodges did everything she could to try to make me comfortable. She brought me hot towels, placed them on both shoulders and checked on me constantly. I did not sleep! She also remembered me from my last surgery when I had a full knee replacement.
