My dad was brought into the ER on Monday after realizing he had a stroke. He was admitted and sent to ICU. Our 1st encounter of “great” nursing was Cherie!

She immediately made me comfortable and took the worry away with her attention, kindness, and love for my father. She treated him with great respect and love, like he was her Dad.

She explained everything she was doing to him (and explained to me). It impressed me that she not only spoke to me, but she also spoke to him.  Often, I find that people speak to me and act like he’s not there.

She is truly an asset to the hospital.

The amount of attention he needed was great, and she was on it! I never had to ask for anything. She was one step ahead. I told her I don’t know how she does it. She said she loves her job and has been at it for 21 years! Never a negative word that came from her mouth. Only positive care, compassion!
