This was my dad’s third stay at Encompass in the past five months, and he has a lot going on. Although he had amazing care each and every time, this time around, he was fortunate to have Chenelle for the majority of his stay. Chenelle’s approach was so caring from day one. She always took the time to listen to my dad about what was uncomfortable, and she pushed him towards things that he didn’t realize he was capable of doing to regain strength. The moment that made her really stand out, though, was the individual care that was obvious when I arrived to accompany him to a doctor's appointment. She had selected the one pair of pants for him to wear out without me having to ask. This meant a lot because he would only wear shorts throughout his stay. Something seemingly simple was symbolic of how caring she is and how she treats each individual patient with care and respect.

I would like to thank Chenelle from 2 South! My mom had a hip replacement at 84 years old. She was extremely frightened of falling and moving from bed to chair and vice versa. Oftentimes, she would let her fear get in the way. Chenelle was so patient and kind with my mother that one would think my mom was her only patient. I have been a nurse for 35 years, and her patience and kindness are what nursing is all about. We thank Chenelle very much for all her compassion!
