I went to the walk-in clinic because I wasn't feeling well. I had extreme pain and fatigue. The clinic provider wanted me seen in the ED. Chelsie assisted me to the ED. Unfortunately, after that, I don’t have much memory of the next few days. The memories I do have are of Chelsie continually comforting me and reassuring me that she was here for me. She kept telling me, "Hang in there," and asking, "What do you need?" and " What can I do for you?" Continual kindness, care, and smiles were comforting.

The next thing I recall is waking up from surgery, and the Doctor says Hi and explains what happened. The next thing he said was I don’t know that young lady who fought for you, but she saved your life. He told me that the next time I saw her, I should grab her, tell her I love her, and thank her for saving my life. He told me that if it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t be here. I do believe that God gives us earthly angels, and I am so blessed to have Chelsie as mine. I work with Chelsie on the clinic side of WHC. She is an incredible nurse and person. Chelsie is kind, caring, and listens to patients with their heart. She is always smiling and has a calm voice that lets you know everything is going to be alright. The medical field needs more nurses like Chelsie.
