Chasity Aguilar, RN

Chasity has stepped up in a role at the 4W infusion center as a chemo infusion nurse, when she is usually a clinic nurse. It is a tedious job requiring compassion and strong attention to detail. Chasity has made so many people feel comfortable, welcome, and heard when they are scared. She is normally in the UMG float pool and stepped up during a staffing crisis. I have witnessed firsthand Chasity comfort scared patients and meet their needs, along with their family members. Chasity has helped change so many patients' lives. Chasity had to learn a new charting system for chemo charting, get chemo certified, and learn a whole new department. Chasity exemplifies what it means to be a nurse. She has stepped up in a way that would be hard for most people. I know this isn't a WOW kind of story, but this nurse has set the bar high and deserves to be thanked and recognized for answering the call of patients who need someone most. She is dedicated to patient care and serving her community.
