My husband transferred to the fourth floor, expecting to live for a few days. We are angry and may be showing unkindness to the staff that we don't mean to, but I would like to acknowledge Charlotte, the RN, for her genuine care.

She demonstrated professionalism and became an advocate for us. She went beyond, accommodating our requests, including medications and doctors. I remember she came in, introduced herself, and I asked her a few questions, more of which were complaints. I was angry, but she stayed calm and asked me to tell her what had happened. She will come every hour or two to ensure my husband is comfortable. She would ask me if I needed anything and always listened.

I noticed she was busy, but she took the time to give us what we needed. In the end, I realized she also comforted my family and me. Her intelligence, humility, and kindness won't go unnoticed. I would like to express my appreciation for her in this message. I cannot put my name on it, but I am sure other patients she cared for and their families will notice her dedication.
