Charlene has a huge heart and cares for the safety and well-being of all the patients both in and out of the hospital.
Charlene truly goes above and beyond for the patients and her fellow staff members. She will stay late just to make sure that the patients have everything they need to discharge home safely. She is always willing to help out when needed. She works the floor with the nurses when things get crazy. There have been many times when she goes to the floor to help the nurses while waiting for a phone call, patient's transportation, or a family member to come in to sign papers or discuss the discharge plan. She has, on more than one occasion, gone to assist the ER with placing a patient who has returned due to the inability to remain at home after discharging from the hospital. These patients usually want to attempt being at home before having to go to a facility, despite being told they will need extra assistance. She works hard at making sure staff have all the educational opportunities and that their credentials stay up to date. She is very passionate about her work and always has a smile on her face and a good attitude no matter the circumstances. She has a huge heart and cares for the safety and well-being of all the patients both in and out of the hospital. She deserves to be recognized for her outstanding effort and dedication to her patients, peers, and CRMC.

Beyond Charlene being unbelievably kind, caring, and just an overall great person and coworker to be around, I think the thing that shines through with Charlene is how much she cares about the team here at CRMC. First starting off with the Nursing Experience Committee and the Rejuvenation Stations, I watched Charlene pour her heart and soul into gathering all the items to make the stations just perfect. She felt that caring for OUR team was just as important as caring for our patients. I hear nurses talk about utilizing those stations when they don't have enough time to eat or just need something to make them smile. Charlene did that.

Next up is Hospital Week. Charlene has worked tirelessly to make Nurses Week and Hospital Week perfect for everyone. This week could not have gone any better and I truly believe that is because of Charlene. Everything from the Escape Room to the Medallion Hunt, to the themed days. Our staff has been glowing this week which means all of her work has paid off. Having a co-worker who cares that much about her people ... is amazing. She thoroughly just wants to make being at work a positive experience for everyone. Which results in better a more positive experience for our patients. Most people don't know she was behind it all, and she would never ask for the recognition she deserves. She's an amazing nurse, and if it's even possible, an even better co-worker!
